Local Backup & Restore
Export any combination of your data to a single file, and restore it without overwriting what you have.
What gets backed up
Settings → Backup & Restore lists everything X-Power Plus tracks as ten selectable modules, grouped into three categories:
| Category | Modules |
|---|---|
| My Collection | Bookmarks (your full Chrome bookmark tree), Bookmark Tags, Saved Searches, Auto-Tag Rules, Recycle Bin |
| Browsing Activity | Visit History, Browsing Stats (screen time), Bookmark Activity (per-bookmark visit counts), Tab Snapshots, Spaces |
| Preferences | Tab Manager Settings, Bookmark Settings, Extension Settings (language, appearance, etc.) |
Select any combination — a quick backup of just your tags and rules before you experiment with Auto-Tag, or everything at once before switching computers.
Exporting
Exporting produces a single JSON file containing exactly the modules you selected. Keep it wherever you keep other important files — it's a plain file, not tied to this browser profile or this machine.
Importing
Importing a backup file auto-detects which modules it contains and merges them into what's already there — it does not wipe your existing data first. After an import finishes, a detailed summary shows exactly what happened per module: how many items were restored, how many were merged with existing entries, and how many were skipped (usually because they already existed).
Clear All Data
The Overview tab's Danger Zone includes a "Clear All Data" action that wipes everything X-Power Plus has stored locally — snapshots, tags, history archive, Spaces, and the rest.
