Content search — searching inside page text

Turn on Content Search (Settings) and X-Power Plus builds a local text index of the pages you have open, so content:invoice in the Current Tabs search box finds the one tab that actually mentions "invoice" in its body text — not just its title or URL. Everything stays local: pages are indexed on your device and never leave it.

Because indexing every open tab's full text has a real memory cost, a few settings keep it bounded:

SettingWhat it controls
Index size limit50–5000 KB per page — longer pages are truncated rather than skipped.
TimeoutHow long indexing a single page is allowed to take before giving up.
Retry countHow many times a failed indexing attempt is retried.
Index special pagesWhether local file:// pages get indexed too (off by default).
content: is a Pro feature Like the other seven syntax prefixes, content: requires an active Pro license or trial. Plain keyword search keeps working either way. See Bookmark Search Syntax for the full prefix reference and Pricing, Trial & License Activation for what's free vs. Pro.

Selection search — search the web from any selection

Highlight text on any page, right-click, and choose Search "your selection" with [engine] to jump straight to a search-engine results page for that text — no copy, no switching tabs first, no retyping. A Search All Engines option opens the same query across every engine you've configured at once, each in its own tab.

Manage the list of engines in Settings: each one is just a name plus a URL template with a $ placeholder where the selected text gets inserted, so you can add any search engine, internal tool, or site-search URL that supports query parameters.

Privacy Mode — hiding sensitive URLs on screen

Privacy Mode is the same three-level model reused identically in Current Tabs, Visit History, and the Efficiency Dashboard — turn it on wherever you're about to share your screen, present, or just work somewhere more public than usual.

LevelWhat's hidden
OffFull URLs and titles shown, as normal.
Level 1URL path hidden — domain and title still visible.
Level 2URL path and page title both hidden.
Level 3Domain, path, and title all hidden — only that an entry exists is visible.

Privacy Mode only changes what's rendered on screen in the sidebar — it doesn't delete, filter, or exclude anything from the underlying data, so turning it back off restores full detail immediately.
