Settings, Shortcuts & Context Menus
A tour of every Settings tab, plus a complete reference of keyboard shortcuts and right-click menu items.
Opening the Settings page
There's no button for it inside the side panel itself — Settings is a separate page, reached through Chrome's own extension surface:
- Right-click the toolbar icon and choose Options. It appears below X-Power Plus's own menu items (see the extension icon's menu below), separated by a divider — that divider marks where the extension's items end and Chrome's own built-in ones begin.
- Or open
chrome://extensions, find X-Power Plus, click Details, then Extension options. This works even if the toolbar icon isn't pinned.

Global (work anywhere, registered with Chrome)

If a shortcut doesn't respond
Chrome sometimes assigns a shortcut to a different extension automatically at install time. Settings has a button that opens

Right-clicking the toolbar icon shows a menu that's separate from anything you get by right-clicking a page — these five items work whether or not the sidebar is even open:

| Show/Hide Sidebar Nav | Hides or shows the entire root + sub-tab bar at the top of the side panel, so the list below it can use the full panel height. See Setup Recipes for combining this with the other density controls. |
| Show/Hide Floating Button | Hides or shows the small draggable icon X-Power Plus injects into every page for quick actions (like Send to Space) without opening the sidebar first. |
| Freeze This Tab | Freezes the tab you were on when you right-clicked the icon. See Tab Freezing. |
| Freeze All Tabs | Freezes every eligible background tab at once. |
| Unfreeze All Tabs | Restores every currently frozen tab. |
Chrome appends its own built-in items — including Options, Manage extension, and Remove from Chrome — below these, separated by a divider.
Right-click on a page
Right-clicking the page itself (not the toolbar icon) shows a different menu:
- Send to Bookmarks — quick-bookmark the current page.
- Send to Space — see Spaces (My Space).
- Search "selected text" with [engine] / Search All Engines — only appears when text is selected. See Selection Search.
