Smart Recommendations

While you browse, X-Power Plus can surface a small floating popup suggesting a bookmark you already saved that's relevant to the page you're on right now — useful for the "I bookmarked something like this months ago" moment. Four strategies can be turned on independently:

StrategySurfaces a bookmark when…
History RecallIt hasn't been visited in a configurable number of days.
Context-BasedIts URL or title shares keywords with the current page.
Semantic MatchThe current page's meta keywords line up with it.
Tag-BasedIt shares tags with the current page's inferred topic.

Recommendations can trigger on page load, on tab switch, or on a periodic poll. Tuning options include a rotation mode (so the same bookmark isn't suggested every time), a cooldown between suggestions, a cap on how many appear per trigger (1–7), a minimum relevance score, and how long the popup stays up before auto-closing.

Entirely on-device Recommendation matching runs 100% locally — nothing about the pages you visit or the bookmarks you have is uploaded anywhere to generate these suggestions.

Similar Sites

A related sub-feature suggests sites in the same category as the one you're on that you haven't bookmarked yet, using a built-in dataset (or one you've imported yourself) plus optional local metadata matching.

Import and export

Bookmarks move in and out of X-Power Plus in two formats:

  • HTML — the standard Chrome-compatible bookmarks format, for moving bookmarks between browsers or restoring from an export made anywhere else.
  • Custom JSON — X-Power Plus's own format, which additionally preserves tags and your custom sort order (things the plain HTML format has no way to represent).

Export scope isn't all-or-nothing: export a single folder, or just the bookmarks currently shown by a search/filter, instead of your whole collection. Reports from Activity, Tag usage, Duplicate detection, and the dead-link checker are each independently exportable too, straight from their own panels.

This is separate from data backup Bookmark import/export moves bookmarks specifically. To back up everything the extension tracks — tags, rules, history, snapshots, Spaces, settings — see Local Backup & Restore and Google Drive Cloud Backup.
