Recycle Bin & Bookmark Locking

Undo deletions safely, and protect specific bookmarks from being touched by Auto-Tag rules.

Recycle Bin — undoing a deletion

Deleting a bookmark, folder, or tag doesn't remove it immediately — it moves to the Recycle Bin first, where it sits for a configurable retention period before being purged for good. Each item in the bin shows how many days it has left. Restore or permanently purge items one at a time or in a batch, or empty the whole bin at once if you're certain you won't need any of it back.

If you'd rather deletions be immediate, the Recycle Bin itself can be turned off entirely in settings.

Retention period is a Pro feature Free plan: items sit in the Recycle Bin for 7 days before being purged. Pro: 90 days. This only affects the countdown on newly deleted items — if your license lapses, anything already in the bin keeps the retention window it had when it was deleted, not a shortened one. Bookmark Locking — protecting a bookmark from Auto-Tag

Locking a bookmark is not a password or security feature — it's a flag that excludes that bookmark from being matched by Auto-Tag Rules. Useful for a bookmark you've tagged carefully by hand and don't want a broad rule silently overwriting later.

Per-bookmark — toggle "Lock this bookmark (no auto-tagging)" in its Edit dialog.
In bulk — select multiple bookmarks and use the batch Lock/Unlock action.
Per-folder — right-click a folder for "Lock All in Folder" or "Unlock All in Folder," applied to every bookmark inside at once.

A locked bookmark still shows up normally everywhere else — in search, in views, in exports. Locking only ever changes one thing: whether Auto-Tag Rules are allowed to touch its tags.
